MATCH REPORT

WELWYN PEGASUS 3 PANSHANGER LIONS 2

Having seen a few player's walk away from this very good squad in recent weeks, to find ourselves up against a very good Team in Welwyn Pegasus with a bare eleven today, it didn't look good on paper following some bad results lately.We had already lost 5-1 previously to them.

With our Captain missing today & likely to be out for a while, THE TEAM have finally started to believe in their ability again & everyone put in a fantastic performance.

Every player played with a smile on their face & we didn't deserve to lose this match or even draw. Football can be a cruel game sometimes & to lose to a last kick of the game is harsh.

As we said before the match, every player should use this match as a springboard for our quarter final match next weekend & every player did.

Forget the result & look at the TEAM performance today, boys you were a different Team, Ian & I were so proud of you all today & even though a couple of boys are still going at the end of the season, with strong new player's coming in........ Your gonna be so strong again next season.

Everyone did fantastic today but every player i'm sure would agree with the choice of M.O.M ....... Callum, unbelievable performance from a boy in only his second season in goal, inspired confidence throughout the Team today & Rory who was Captain today who put in a superb performance & didn't stop encouraging, well done both of you !!!!
