Code of Conduct for Club Officials
Panshanger FC aims to provide a safe, friendly environment in which the players can develop their football and team working skills in an atmosphere that is competitive but also encourages fair play.
The club is always pleased when its teams do well but winning is not the first priority. To achieve this, the club has developed the following code of conduct.
- Club Officials must set a positive example to all players and supporters.
- Club Officials must ensure the Health and Safety of all players, supporters and Match Officials.
- Club Officials must ensure the Club’s Child Protection Policies are maintained and enforced.
- Club Officials must ensure the clubs ethics on Fair Play are maintained and encouraged.
- Club Official must avoid all forms of gamesmanship.
- Club Officials must show and promote, respect to match officials and others in the game.
- Club Officials must accept the decision of a Match Official without protest.
- Club Officials must refrain from and discourage swearing or physical violence.
- Club Officials must work toward the development of the club and individual teams for the benefit of all members.
- Club Official must show respect to players and team officials at all times.
- Club Officials must show respect to the interests of supporters.
- Club Officials must avoid words or actions that may mislead a match official.
- Club Officials will treat club premises and property and that of opposition clubs with respect.
The club management committee will sanction Club Officials who ignore this code of conduct. Sanctions will be:
- On a first occasion the Official will be warned.
- On a second occasion the Official will be suspended for a period decided by the committee.
- On a third occasion the Official will be expelled from the club.
The management committee has the right to move directly to the second or third stage if the committee judges that an incident is so serious that this action is necessary.
Anyone sanctioned under this code has the right to appeal to Herts F.A. within fourteen days of the sanction.
This code of practice is not designed to restrict anyone’s freedom but to set the standards of behaviour that are expected to ensure that everyone enjoys the football.
